BECS - Bionic Energy Converter Structure

Conventional technology

The efficiency of traditional wind turbines is low, they can utilize only 35% of wind energy, because their blades rotate against the air flow. Thus a large amount of energy is lost and turbulence is formed.

Innovative technology

As opposed to the traditional ones, the blades of BECS lean on the air flow. This innovative design unites two reliable technologies in one device: the wing profiles of airplanes and the curved profiles of ships’ sails.


BECS’s blades form significantly less turbulence compared to traditional wind turbines, thus they can be placed close to each other. They do not endanger bird populations.

The uniqueness, quiet running, and high efficiency of the BECS (compared to the area it travels) can be attributed to the large blade surfaces, the special movement of the blades, / the curvature of the blades, and the angle adjustment of the blades / while traversing a rectangular area.

It is clear from the animation that the structure, during operation, goes trough a rectangular area, not circular in shape, like conventional wind generators / except Darius and Savonius / fans, water pumps and propellers.

If the BECS is built and operated as a wind generator then:

You don’t have to build a giant size for greater performance and efficiency. The large blades and their adjustability ensure that they are efficient even in low winds, but do not have to be stopped in high winds. It can't spin over, so it's not damaged.

If the BECS is built and operated as a fan then:

in rectangular air ducts it is also suitable for dual-cannon / suction or blower / function by changing the direction of rotation. By changing the angle of the blades and the curvature of the blades during rotation, the amount and pressure of the air flow can be adjusted to suit each situation.

If the BECS is constructed and operated as a water pump, then:

it almost acts like a fan. Water is 860 times denser than air, so of course it must be of the right material and the right strength for the elements of the structure. However, cavitation damaging the blades of conventional pumps and generators will not occur during operation of the BECS due to the blade adjustment options described earlier.

If built as a propeller:

it will work without cavitation on any type of boat, even if the speed, weight, or even engine speed changes. The horror of ship bolts is cavitation. In the case of a conventional propeller, the propellers are scaled to a given type, weight, speed, and speed, which can cavitate at any time, even the Voit-Schneider propeller.

I am László Ambrus. I graduated from the Secondary School of Mechanical Engineering in Szolnok in 1973 and obtained a qualification in the field of Intermediate Transport Machinery. By then, I had already made a brake light for my bikes, which was a very surprising and spectacular solution back then. In 1983, I installed a Peugeot diesel engine in the Soviet gasoline-powered Volga and later, as a test, in Moscow. Among the cars in the system at the time, there were no diesel-powered models. This was a shortcoming. In 1999, my wheel nut loosener was patented. This simple structure allowed the truck driver to loosen the wheel nuts on his own. This structure is now an accessory found in all trucks.


The construction of this structure was inspired by the many types of windmills with thin „blade” blades seen in Western European countries (but compared to the area gone through by the blades of wind generators during rotation).

Everyone will experience in their lifetime that the force of the wind will vary in its speed and the size of the object in its path. Then why not make larger blades for today’s wind generators? Because paddles of increasing surface area rotating perpendicular to the direction of flow would create increasing turbulence or vortices. In nature, it turned out differently.

The skewered fish can swim in the water at a speed of 130 km / h, the sickle swallow can fly horizontally at a speed of almost 170 km / h without a propeller. There is little vortex or turbulence during their movement.

The fish lean on the water at the right angle with their sides on one side and the other. / This is how the sailing ship moves while cruising. This bionic technique is used by BECS.

Since 2014, various models have been made for the practical application of this technique. Over the years, experimentation has shown that this idea can work well not only as a wind generator and water generator, but also as a fan, water pump and even propeller. Together, this is already a new, more environmentally friendly system.
